I am working on making our building permits electronic and then being able to use them in PDF form to search. My question is does any other municipality have completed building permits electronically and are they available on your website. Also do we need to add the building permit application to it if all the information is the same on the approved permit.
No, the City of Gillette does not process permits electronically. We setup projects through ePlan in order for plans to be uploaded digitally; once plans are reviewed, approved , all fees paid, the building permit has been issued to the General Contractor, subcontractors for the sub-permits (electrical, plumbing, gas pipefitting,mechanical) who have billing accounts setup may call in for permits to be issued, then the permit fee is charged to their account and the paper copy of the permit is mailed to them.
